Like every other occupations that involve calling many customers, I gained a lot of pleasure listening to client’s waiting ring tones. Ring tones or calling melody also tells me something about their personalities, their hobbies, their state of mind, ages, and belief. There were of course the usual top of the charts, some heart broken songs, some longing to meet the right person song, some declaring their love song, and some were extremely trendy considering some of my client’s age. There was a 60 years old guy with Wonder Girl Hit as his calling melody, which inevitably makes me giggle every time I gave him a call. There was also this couple that I matched that had exactly the same classical ring tones, could this be just a coincidence? Other also has a “Thai monk preaching” melody, which was rather unusual. Nevertheless, calling melody has become a non-tangible accessories to our mobile phone, it represents who you are and how you like to be presented.

Thank you NIST for inviting me to speak at your graduation ceremony. I think the school was quite brave to invite me. Speaking to a group of young adults was particularly nerve wrecking, but I’m glad I was able to contribute back to the school in some way. I also felt so fortunate to be giving out the student’s diploma as this is not something everyone can get to do every day.

I couldn’t feel more honour recently when I recieved an invitation from my old school to speak at this year Graduation. This is not to mention that our current prime minister was also asked to give the same speech to my year more than a decade ago. Although I was no longer at the school for the graduation ceremony, but I heard his speech was exceptionally inspiring. Last year speech was made by another alumni who was both Cambridge and Oxford graduate and very accomplished in her career. There is so much to live up to.
The invitation came as a surprise for me, as I never thought a matchmaker would make a good role model, but apparently, I was selected because of that very reason. They selected me because I was an alumini and are “successful a little outside of the usual expectations, so could be regarded as a role model for risk taking, hard work, resilience, goal-setting, and all the other positive qualities that we (the school) try to encourage.”
The school suggested the topic, ‘what I wish I knew when I left school but have discovered for myself’. I still get the chilling down my spine when I read the letter from the IB Diploma Coordinator, the same feeling that you get when you are about to walk into the Headmaster’s office. My only hope is that the little experience I have gained over the years will be beneficial to these new graduates and that I will be able to convey the message at least half as good as Abhsit.

We were all smiling yesterday when we learned that our female dentist client has entered into a relationship with our male gynaecologist client. What a perfect couple! I wonder if their kid(s) would also grown up to be a medical doctor.
Does reader agree with people in a similar profession dating each other? Is there too much similarity that will make life boring? Or will they share the mutual understanding, the long working hour and reward from the job?
