It’s Complicated
Have you ever seen someone on Facebook having “It’s Complicated” status? Have you ever said it yourself to someone else? What do people mean when they say their relationship is complicated? Are they single, but not really single i.e. still looking? Is it because they don’t know where the relationship is going or are they on the edge of breaking up?
I reckoned when people say “It’s complicated”, it usually means they are not confronting the issue and try to put it to the side. If someone tells you that your relationship with that person is complicated, it may mean he/she is not appreciating you enough and just pulling you along for a 2nd choice.
Whatever the reasons, it’s complicated is never a good news when it comes to relationship. You want to be completely in one or out of one, not one leg in between because if a right person comes along and hear you are in a complicated relationship, he/she will think you are too complicated to pursue. :)

I’ll say “It’s complicated” is a good sign if you just started dating, say from first date to 2-3 months after. Any longer than that, it’s as you say.
